I have a tremendous appreciation for Yin Yoga. It helped me with balance when I started a hot yoga practice, and I feel like I have been extolling its benefits ever since.
I wanted to share the concept of Yin with a wider audience as I don’t think many know about it, or even think of yoga in terms of the Yin and Yang.
I was fortunate enough to interview Paul Grilley, the yoga teacher who brought this concept to the forefront, and who now teaches this style of Yoga around the world.
The interview runs here:
Balancing Your Yang (Hot) Yoga Practice with Yin: Q & A with Paul Grilley.
Feel free to share with other yoga school and practitioners, or to ask any questions about this style of Yoga. I do recommend the DVD I used to become acquainted with Yin – it is Yin Yoga: The Foundations of a Quiet Practice
I hope you enjoy the read!

Great interview. There is so much to know about Yoga
Evrything sounds new to me
I know! Yoga becomes part of the lifestyle so taking it step by step seems the best way. For me, things that didn’t make sense 3 years ago, suddenly seem clearer! The practice evolves as you grow – I love that about it. Glad you enjoyed the interview – I highly recommend Yin Yoga!
Paul´s exercises are really great! Other examples you can find right here:
